BlaTina Varsity Posse is an in-person and virtual educational program for high school girls to guide them from high school, through college, and into careers in innovation and technology. We are fueled by The Mind Trust and the Lilly Foundation.

Our Program
Academic Success
We lead the cohort through activities and strategies aimed at helping them succeed academically in their high school and college courses. This includes implementing and learning about study habits and routines, researching summer programs, and connecting with higher education opportunities.
Personal Success
We believe instilling confidence in each girl is key to their personal growth. The girls learn valuable skills such as listening to others and communicating. These moments contribute to a close, tight-knit group that supports one another throughout the school year.
Tech Spotlight
We invite women working in the STEM field to share their career experiences and the challenges they have overcome. In these 30 to 45-minute weekly segments, our BlaTina participants ask questions and learn from those who are paving the way for women and people of color to pursue careers in STEM.
Why STEM?
Women, especially Black and Latina women, are underrepresented in the STEM field. Careers in innovation and technology are rewarding with opportunities to exercise and expand the mind, make a meaningful impact, and grow professionally. This program provides college prep resources and career exploration in the growing STEM field.
End of Program Trip
We believe it is important for each girl to step outside of their comfort zone and into new, exciting experiences. Each year, we travel to give the girls an opportunity to see what the world has to offer them while visiting tech companies and colleges.

Applications
Are you a high school girl interested in pursuing a career in STEM? Do you enjoy learning and want to gain invaluable experience that will help you launch yourself into college? Apply to join Varsity Posse for the 2024-2025 school year. Once you have applied, we will contact you with more information about the program’s start date.
Nominations
We need the help of our Indianapolis high school principals and leaders to identify students who are truly dedicated to pursuing STEM careers and post-secondary programs. Nomination forms will be emailed to administrators and teachers.
Introducing students to diverse career paths in technology was a highlight of the program. Allowing students to engage with professional women of color in technology inspired and motivated the students. It also assisted in broadening their perspectives on potential career choices. By showcasing various opportunities and exposing them to successful women in tech, instilled ambition and sparking a passion for future possibilities.
