Aspire House
The Aspire Higher Foundation operates Aspire House, a historic firehouse transformed into a community center and innovation hub. Located at 1002 Udell Street in Indianapolis, we serve youth, families, and seniors living in the Near Northwest Neighborhood.
Housing
As part of The Preceptors Enclave, the firehouse includes four apartment units, approximately 850 square feet each. These second and third-floor units are available for local teachers as we seek to support educators while serving the community.
Creativity
Aspire House offers a visual arts presence in the neighborhood with better lighting, artistic sidewalks and benches, flower gardens, and art education. The third-floor artist loft gives a local artisan space to create and sell their work.
Nutrition
Residents and community members can use a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen space for nutrition-based education. The RyZe Kitchen programs include lessons on how to prepare healthy meals, what is involved in planting a vegetable garden, and learning to make healthy food choices. The property also houses a garden space to incorporate locally harvested vegetables into meals.
RyZe Kitchen
The RyZe Kitchen is a commercial, collaborative, and multi-purpose space located in Aspire House. As a hub for innovation and experimentation, it provides nutrition-based programs to all ages and can be rented by local culinary chefs and bakers.
The Loft at Aspire House
Aspire House is home to four modern, chic apartment lofts. Two of these units are part of the EdBnb Program, which provides affordable housing to local educators. The third unit is leased out to a local artist and another will be available on Airbnb.
The Future
Aspire House is the main property of The Preceptors Enclave at the Aspire House Village, an equal opportunity learning incubator of innovation and design. The Village is an environment that supports global living and learning, designed to attract the nation’s best educational leaders.
