Artful Journey Studio
Where Creativity Meets Wellness
The Artful Journey Studio and Grow House will bridge the worlds of creativity and wellness. It is a place that fosters and welcomes innovation and ideas. We envision a space filled with the sounds of laughter and music. It will feature a designated workshop area and lofted accessory dwelling units (ADUs) to provide additional affordable housing in our neighborhood.

Made possible by AWCCF
We are honored to celebrate the support of the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation for the art and wellbeing space at Aspire House – a lasting tribute to the power of creativity, community, and those who make a meaningful difference.

Art Classes
From painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafting, we will offer a variety of art classes in our new studio space.

Fabric Dyeing
Led by Stephanie Lewise Robertson, we explored different techniques to bring unique designs to life on fabric through dyeing and printing.

Quilting
We learned how to sew together colorful pieces of fabric into vibrant and lively designs for our inaugural quilting class.
Public Arts Corridor
Aspire House and the Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University-Indianapolis share a history of collaboration centered on community development and arts engagement. The initiative was born from discussions led by Sharon Clark in Fall 2023. From these conversations, a shared vision emerged: a public arts corridor that will enrich and reflect the surrounding community. Project support has been provided by the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation through the Indy Arts Council.

This project brings seven public sculptures to the Aspire House Campus. At the core of this project is a commitment to equity and opportunity. We exclusively hire students who demonstrate financial need, prioritizing BIPOC students, women, and historically underrepresented artists. Through this initiative, we seek to radically transform the future of public art – empowering emerging artists with the skills, experience, and visibility needed to shape more inclusive public spaces.
