BlaTina Varsity Posse
College Readiness. Career Exposure. Personal Development.
About
BlaTina Varsity Posse is a STEM career exposure and education program for high school girls. Our inaugural cohort launched in early 2024, and after a successful year, we welcomed our second cohort for the 2024-2025 academic year. We are fueled by The Mind Trust and the Lilly Foundation.
Academic Success
We strive to help students succeed academically in their high school and college courses by implementing study habits and connecting them with higher education opportunities.
Personal Success
We believe instilling confidence in each girl is key to their personal growth. The girls learn valuable skills such as listening to others and communicating. These moments contribute to a close, tight-knit group that supports one another throughout the school year.
Tech Spotlight
We invite women working in the STEM field to share their career experiences and the challenges they have overcome. In these 30 to 45-minute weekly segments, our BlaTina participants learn from those who are paving the way for women and people of color to pursue careers in STEM.

Why STEM?
Women, especially Black and Latina women, are underrepresented in the STEM field. Careers in innovation and technology are rewarding with opportunities to exercise and expand the mind, make a meaningful impact, and grow professionally. This program provides college prep resources and career exploration in the growing STEM field.

2024 San Francisco Trip
We concluded our inaugural Varsity Posse cohort with a trip to San Francisco to visit major technology companies and colleges, including Gusto, Bloomberg, Santa Clara University, and Stanford University.
