2024 TeenWorks

In our first year working with TeenWorks, we had 13 participants graduate from our summer program. Students learned several aspects of gardening, including building raised beds, laying down sections of sheet mulch, and tending to plants. They laid the groundwork for the 2025 TeenWorks class that utilized the waterbarrels that were installed in 2024.

2025 TeenWorks

With 32 participants in our 2025 TeenWorks Summer Program, we had loads of help and opportunities for learning opportunities. We focused on modeling a sustainable community. Students installed rainbarrels, built benches with reclaimed pallet wood, and surveyed trees. With an emphasis on repurposing materials, the teens also cooked meals in the RyZe Kitchen with food from our gardens, which provided healthy, filling lunches for their peers each day!
