Construction Progress
November Update
Work on the firehouse is progressing especially after Lowe’s Day on October 25! The third floor apartments are painted, and cabinets are being installed. On the first floor, we are installing lights and insulating the walls. In August and September, we placed plumbing and electrical wires on all three levels. We also installed a hood for our commercial kitchen, which we will use to promote and teach healthy eating habits in the community.
Lowe's Day 2023
In October 2023, employees from 10 Lowe’s stores around Indiana volunteered their time to help paint, build, and garden at the firehouse. This was one of the 100 signature projects that Lowe’s completed as part of its 2023 Hometowns initiative. We thank Lowe’s for generously donating construction materials and selecting Aspire House as one of its 2023 Hometowns grantees.
